Voltronic Lubricants of Germany was Borneo Safari’ Official Lubricants and Sponsors for the year 2013. John had the opportunity to work with Voltronic to promote the their lubricants during the 2012 and 2013. Work done for Voltronic was brand awareness in Borneo Safari and the Borneo 4WD and Outdoor Show. Feature Voltronic corporate cars decals, news features, exhibition booth design, merchandise, media awareness were integrated together with the promotional tools of the event. John’s favourite design work was the design and manufacture of 500 pieces of limited edition Borneo Safari Field Official Field Watches. Each timepiece are custom designed from scratch by John and manufactured in China using good quality materials. Built with rugged stainless steel black case, black dials, khaki face and canvas strap, this rugged time piece is water resistant to 100 meters , scratch resistant sapphire crystal lens and top quality quartz movement from Japan. The addition of a DAY and DATE display completes the functionality of an everyday watch.
These watches were used as souvenirs for VIPs and Sponsors and the top serial no.s from 1 to 10 were auctioned during the closing ceremony with all of the proceeds from the auction donated to charity organisations. The Borneo Safari watch are also distributed and sold through a dealer network at selected watch retailers.
