Wildlife Photography Competition – RM7,800 Prizes Up For Grabs

John has been invited to be on the panel of judges for the upcoming wildlife photo competition launched by the Wildlife Department of Sabah in conjunction with World Wildlife Day. A total of RM7,800 worth of prizes are up for grabs! Three categories are available. The Open (18 years and older), Government Staffs and Students (13 to 17 years old) category.  The highest award will be the YB Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Masidi Manjun, the Minister of Tourism, Culture & Environment Sabah Award with a prize money of RM1,500 for the winner.  Submit your entries now!

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF COMPETITION:

1.  Participation is open to all Malaysian citizens except Secretariat.
   2. The theme of the contest is a Wildlife Conservation in Sabah where the images highlight wildlife in Sabah.
   3. Participants may submit more than one (1) entry, but only eligible to win one (1) prize.
   4. Photos “touch-up” allowed for a minimum of modifications brightness of color, softening or sharpening and croping.
   5. Entries must be submitted with an 8R-size and heavy paper mounted on a black (Mounting Board) with 1-inch border and a digital copy in JPG format. Under the picture, please paste the picture title and description. The title given should conform to the image.
   6. Behind the Mounting Board please affix your personal details such as Name, Address and No. Contact telephone.
   7. The competition is opened to submission from 3 September 2015 to 25 September 2015.
   8. Picture contest will be judged by a panel of judges appointed by the SWD is based on the theme, composition, originality, creativity and application of the best photographic techniques.
   9. Any entry that does not comply will not be judged.
   10. The organizer reserves the right to disqualify any entry if it violates the Terms & Conditions.
   11. The judges’ decision is final and all forms of correspondence will not be entertained.
   12. The winner will be contacted by telephone, mail or e-mail.
   13. Winners will be notified officially.
   14. All entries must be submitted to the address below, and be received on or prior to 25 September 2015.
   15. Images must be taken during the contest period.
